Social Media Marketing Intern – unpaid internship

Ink Foundry is looking for a dynamic motivated intern interested in exploring a career in social media marketing. Learn cutting edge technologies that amplify client communication, best practices and exploration of new strategies, tactics and optimization. Be able to answer your parents’ question: What is social media and why should we care?

Our clients include travel, live entertainment, restaurants and non-profits. Accounts include Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Mi4M.com, LocalGetaways.com, Disney on Ice and others. This could become a full-time position for the right person. Ink Foundry provides a casual and friendly work environment, with locations in San Francisco and Los Angeles. This unpaid internship can be worked primarily from your home, and those hours can be worked at night, on the weekends, etc.

Job Description
The intern will assist with the following areas:

• Social media marketing communications working on Twitter, Facebook Fan Pages, MySpace, forums & blogs, social bookmarking sites
• Market and competitive research
• Brainstorming new ideas
• Writing posts, responding

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
• Familiar with WordPress and other social media applications
• Organized and detail oriented
• Demonstrated interest in social media marketing and public relations
• Must be able to commit 15-20 hrs per week, does not need to be completed during regular business hours and can be done virtually
